Homemade Salad Dressing

Being gluten free and vegan can take some careful planning, especially when it comes to salad dressings. I decided to get creative over the holidays and make my own homemade salad dressings. The most popular dressing was very easy to make and I will admit pretty delicious.

Once you start making homemade salad dressing, you'll never turn back.

Ingredients:
1 garlic Clove
Sunflower Oil ( from the can of artichokes you bought for the salad)
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Sea Salt and Pepper
1 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
1 Tbsp Braggs

This dressing is very easy to make. You use the mini jar that the artichokes came in with the excess sunflower oil as your base. Add the following ingredients to taste.  Depending on how tart or salty you like your dressings you can always add more ingredients. I tend to use two garlic cloves because I am absolutely obsessed with garlic. ( it's good for you too)

Here is the artichokes soaked in sunflower oil that you will want to purchase. They are perfect to put on top of a salad. You can get them at wholefoods.  You do not have to get this brand but I know they have this brand at whole foods. You can find other versions of artichoke hearts in different kind of oils but after making this dressing several times, the sunflower oil tastes the best as a salad dressing base.

Enjoy your homemade salad dressing. Let me know how it goes! Once you have mastered this one, I will post some more.

mmmmmmm.
